Paul Murphy
Founder / CEO / Author / Still Figuring It Out
(and that’s okay…)
I’m Paul Murphy, aka ‘Murph’, and I’ll be the first to admit—I don’t have all the answers. I’ve taken more wrong turns than a learner driver with a broken satnav, but those detours taught me more than any ‘quick win’ ever could.
Whether it’s navigating fatherhood, marriage, or the world of sterile liquid transfer (yes, that’s a thing), I’ve learned there’s no perfect formula—just hard work, dead ends, and plenty of tea.
Forget the success gurus selling a one-size-fits-all dream. Life doesn’t work like that. I’m not here to preach about ‘making it’ or hand out magic formulas. Truth is, I’m still figuring it out myself—and that’s perfectly fine.
If you want untold riches overnight, I’m not your guy. But if you’re up for resilience, a few failures, and a good laugh along the way, we might just be on the same page.
Success isn’t a destination—it’s a messy, frustrating, thrilling, and addictive process. And right in the middle of the chaos? That’s where growth happens.
Experience
Founder & CEO, Pure Transfer Ltd.
(2015 – present)
I run a company that ensures liquids get from ‘Point A’ to ‘Point B’ seamlessly—without any disasters along the way. It’s all about pure transfer, which is exactly why I named the company Pure Transfer—because sometimes, simplicity is the best approach.
Through running businesses, I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about having everything under control all the time—no one does, and anyone who claims otherwise isn’t being entirely honest. The real challenge is managing the chaos, staying adaptable, and occasionally finding the humour in the unpredictability.
Building Pure Transfer has reinforced that success isn’t a straight path—it’s full of unexpected turns, tough decisions, and moments that test resilience. Sometimes, the best strategy is to take a step back, grab a cup of tea (and maybe a biscuit), reflect, and figure out the next best move.
Author
“We need to talk about success." Stop dreaming, start achieving…
A book about real lives in the real world, We need to talk about success doesn’t promise to make you rich or famous. The focus is on discovering what ‘success’ means to you, and taking achievable steps along a path to your goal. The book’s filled with laugh-out-loud stories about the mistakes I’ve made, the lessons I’ve learned, and why, sometimes, success isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. We need to talk about success is a practical guide to what you should expect as you journey towards achieving your goals. My second, as yet untitled, book is nearly complete, with another in the works.
Summary
It’s time to get honest. There’s too much hot air in the world of business. With that in mind, let’s stop pretending that any of us have it all figured out. Nobody does. So, if you’re looking for some authenticity, a few laughs, and a regular reminder that it’s OK to not have all the answers, feel free to connect. Let’s figure it all out together, one cup of tea at a time.
